Lomustine

Lomustine is a medication that is prescribed to treat brain tumor and Hodgkin’s disease. This medication works by slowing the growth of cancer cells in the body. It is often given in conjunction with other chemotherapy medications.

Side Effects/Warnings

This medication can cause a severe decrease in the number of blood cells in patients’ bone marrow. As a result, patients may be more susceptible to serious infections. It can also cause patients to bruise or bleed easily. Patients should see their doctors as soon as possible if they experience fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, sore throats, congestion or excessive bleeding.
